
Council House Reservations:
The Council House is available at no charge for KGC clubs and Council use. Reserve the library, small meeting room, or screened porch by using the form below. Reservations will be posted on the KGC website.
House Guidelines:
- Bag and dispose of garbage in the dumpster (lower lot).
- Wash and put away any dishes or utensils used.
- Unplug and clean coffee pots.
- Take linens or towels home to wash and return.
- Do not pour food waste or Oasis water down the drain.
- No flushing of feminine products or facial tissues (septic system).
- Sweep floors (broom in closet next to fridge).
- Before leaving: turn off lights, shut off faucets, check toilets, close windows, and lock all doors—including the screened porch door.
Workshops:
- Only allowed on the main floor.
- Protect surfaces with plastic coverings (available in closet).
- No spray paint indoors.
- Clean up all materials, especially glue guns.
- Dispose of Oasis and paint residue outdoors—not in drains.
Second Floor Use:
- For storage only—no meetings allowed.
- No running water or cleaning service, so clean your space after use.
Wi-Fi Access:
Instructions are posted in the library/meeting room or available from Kathy Kienle, IT Chair.
Electronics:
- TVs (with HDMI input) in meeting rooms may be used by clubs. HDMI to USB-C and USB to USB-C connectors are located in a green plastic bin near the librarian’s desk. Do not disconnect the HDMI cable from the back of the TV.
- A Council-owned tablet is usually available for Zoom. Confirm availability with Bunny LaDuke.
- Instructions for devices and peripherals are posted at the House. Personal laptops may also connect to the TVs.
- Please handle electronics with care and return them to their designated places.
Parking:
Council House parking is for members, club meetings, and House business. Additional parking is available in the lower Markin Glen lot—Members must display a Council parking placard or logo sticker on the lower left of their windshield. Contact the Membership Chair for extra stickers.
Donations of Items to the Council House:
Label donations clearly with your name and the recipient’s name or committee. Use the designated table and sign-in sheet in the garage.
First Aid & Fire Safety:
- First Aid Kit: In kitchen, on open shelf behind the entry door
- Fire Extinguishers: Kitchen (south window) and upstairs hallway
Supplies Provided:
Paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, trash bags, and basic cleaning supplies. All other items must be brought by the users.
